Signwriters help your business stand out

image of a liquor signFor regular customers and those who pass your premises by car or foot, new signs, particularly illuminated signs, are a powerful reminder of your presence, so how can signwriters create a visual reminder to customers about your location and products?

"A business with no sign is a sign of no business," says Abe Weiszberger, Director of Stick on Signs. "This is how important signage is to marketing a business."

According to Abe, the same is true for outdated signage. "A baker wouldn't leave old bread on his shelves because it looks bad to customers," he adds.

Indeed, communicating a tired message about your brand can be as detrimental as having no signage at all. But thanks to advances in sign-writing technology, updating your signs can now be done quickly and cheaply.

Costs, time, turnaround

"Today it's cheaper than ever to freshen up your signage," says Abe. "Which for some businesses means they can do it more often."

Abe points out that sign writers can complete the process in less than a week. "If a customer knows what they want, it can be designed and ordered online and delivered within days."

"Alternatively, we can sit down with the customer and discuss the options. It really depends on what is most convenient."

Sign types

The large sign out the front of your business is just one part of your marketing strategy. Indoor light boxes can also provide an effective and flexible way to communicate your sales message.

Able to be positioned just about anywhere, Abe says these can be updated on a regular basis - weekly, daily, or even a number of times a day.

"You install the backlit frame with film slipped onto the front of it. Whatever your message, you simply apply it to the front and change as necessary."

LED lighting

Another way to cost-effectively freshen up your corporate image is with LED signage, which provides a more even and subtle light.

"Number one, it saves money," Abe says. "Compared to the signs of old, LED signage is much more cost efficient. After the initial outlay, new LED signs are virtually cost free to run."

Writing's on the wall

Custom-made corporate wallpaper printed with a company logo or motto is a popular new product being used in reception areas, public spaces and meeting rooms.

"It's just like normal wallpaper and you can put more than a logo on it," Abe says. "You don't want to overdo it of course, and you need to think carefully about where you put it, but we can use it to convey the key messages of your business."
