Want to create a visual impact at a trade show or product launch? Or want to jazz up your plain white office walls and create a stimulating work environment for your employees? Then think big with large-format printing.
What is large-format printing?
Large-format printing involves reproducing images on heavy-duty materials like vinyl and canvas, which can reach sizes of 25 metres square, or larger.
These images, produced with a large-format printer, are typically used for:
- shopfront displays
- point-of-sale displays
- trade-show displays
- indoor and outdoor advertising.
Types of large-format printing
- Posters: Posters are generally the most affordable type of large-format printing and can be printed on paper, card and film. They are usually designed for short-term displays to promote special offers or events. They can be laminated, or inserted into purpose-built display cases and stands.
- Wall graphics: Wall graphics are commonly seen in shopping centres and large offices, where they’re used to jazz up foyers and thoroughfares. Unlike banners, they can be adhered to walls for a more ‘finished’ look.
- Window graphics: These are printed images that adhere to shop windows, making them ideal for promoting sales and special events. One-way window graphics (where you can see out but customers can’t see in) are also good for creating privacy in a street-front office while reinforcing your brand.
- Vinyl banners: Vinyl banners are ideal for exterior use and are designed to withstand the elements. They are commonly seen hanging from the sides of buildings and contain bold visuals to attract attention from afar.
- Floor adhesives: Printed floor adhesives are commonly used for promotional campaigns in supermarkets. They are designed to be non-slip and durable, but are easily removed at the end of a campaign. Often fun and quirky, floor adhesives are an increasingly popular form of advertising, whereby the physical location of the ad is integral to the message.
Large-format printing costs
This really depends on the size, substrate (printing surface) and complexity of the job. Also, bear in mind that banners and adhesives may need professional installation, which will add to the cost.
How can large-format printing benefit my business?
Large-format printing:
